April 10, 2007 will mark the 4th year since Cameron's disappearance. We still have heard absolutely nothing from anyone anywhere as to what has happened to him. We were so in hopes that he would be back by now but the reality is that we still have nothing to go on. We will be having a Celebration of Life service for Cameron’s family and friends during UCA’s Alumni weekend, which is the first weekend in May. It will be held in Spangle, WA. If you are interested in coming we would ask that you contact us, via email, at ranch@wesslen.com. The reason for calling it a "Celebration of Life" service instead of a "Memorial Service" is because we, his family and friends, will continue FOREVER to hope and pray for Cameron's safe return home until we know for sure otherwise! Thanks for caring for and praying for Cameron, and for checking here for updates. We know he is loved by many!!! April 25, 2003 – Emailed Posters to Seattle Area Homeless Shelters April 28, 2003 – Received Call From Seattle Downtown Shelter – They think they’ve maybe seen him just outside their shelter, wearing tan slacks and light colored stocking cap. (They hadn’t checked their E-mail and seen the picture of Cam until the next day). They are in contact with us and will let us know if they see him again. April 29, 2003 – Sent E-mails to All Shelters Again – Asking them to please call if they see him. May 2, 2003 – KIRO TV news is interested in doing a story on this. We’ve waited a bit, discussed and prayed about it and have decided to go ahead. It may air on the Sunday evening news. I will post the information when we know something for sure. They will be interviewing friends of ours who will be over there posting flyers on Sunday afternoon. We have also received a call from a Seattle newspaper columnist. If we hear back from him we will let you know any information we have on that. We have not heard back from the shelter where a young man was seen fitting the description of Cam. They were going to send people out to look for him. May 4, 2003 – KIRO TV has interviewed our friends who are over in Seattle posting flyers this afternoon, as well as Jerry by phone. They ran the story on the 6:00PM news and MAY run it again at 11:00PM, we were told. May 5, 2003 – They ran the piece on KIRO news beginning at 5 PM yesterday, off and on through this morning, I believe. We haven't seen it yet, but heard it was well done. They did not include the contact information I'd asked for, just said to report anything to the police. Called the Seattle downtown Police precinct Monday afternoon, but they had heard nothing. Nothing on our cell phone contact number yet, either. May 6, 2003– Case maybe be sent from Spokane to Seattle Police Department. This could possibly make it easier for Seattle Police to connect to him to his case number should any information be turned into them. A Spokane TV station is considering running a piece on Cameron now, also. I would guess it could air tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. It would be on Channel 2. May 8, 2003 – Channel 2 never called back. Called them several times. Will wait a little longer and then try them again. They were trying to get the piece from their sister station in Seattle. May 19, 2003 – A man's body was found in the Marina in Everett, WA this past Friday evening. The coroner's office, at this point, does not know how long the body has been in the water or cause of death. Evidently it was so decomposed they were not able to immediately determine if it was a man or a woman. It will take the medical examiner's office a week to be able to identify it. The crimes investigator, who we originally reported Cameron's disappearance to, is checking into it today. If there is any likelihood that this is Cameron, he will be forwarding Cam's dental records to them for comparison. The investigator will be keeping us informed of ANY INFORMATION they find out in this case and we will keep you informed as soon as we know anything. May 21, 2003 – The Sheriff in charge of Cam's case confirmed yesterday that the body found in Everett, WA was NOT Cameron. The sheriff is sending Cam's dental records to the WA state patrol today so they will have them on file. May 23, 2003 – On the outside chance that any of you have heard from or know where Cam might be, would you ask him (or just do it yourself) to get a hold of us and at least let us know he is alive. That way we won't keep searching and it will give a lot of weary hearts a huge lift right now!!! If he wants some time away from everyone we will honor that and will post that he just needs time to be alone for a bit. (Or, when he does contact us, he can specify whatever he wants posted. We would then take the website down.) Thanks, Jerry & Judy May 29, 2003 – I have been in contact with the Lead Investigator of the Seattle area King County Medical Examiner's Office (same as Coroner's Office). There has been no unidentified body, with a gun shot wound to the head, brought there during the last 2 months. There have been no unidentified bodies brought in AT ALL in the last 2 months! This is also true of Snohomish County. If there is, they would be contacting us directly since we made the report and have sent them Cam's information and picture. Neither King County's, nor Snohomish County's, Missing Persons Department has identified any missing person as being and/or fitting Cam's description. If they do they will be contacting us, also. Any information we receive from any of these departments, in regards to Cameron, will be posted on this website. Until then, ANY RUMORS YOU HAVE OR WILL HEAR CONTRARY TO THIS INFORMATION ARE JUST THAT...RUMORS!! June 13, 2003 – Friday
evening we received a phone call from another Seattle shelter. They thought
they had Cameron there and the description seemed to match. We scrambled
to pack up to leave for Seattle, hoping to arrive before the men left the
shelter the next morning. Just before we left the shelter called back. They
were able to find a digital camera and discreetly take pictures of the young
man, which they then emailed to us. It wasn't him. We were crushed! June 20 - 26, 2003 – Spent time in Seattle posting posters, checking places Cam used to work at, eat at, etc. and tracking down some of his friends. NOTHING. July 20, 2003 – Happy 24th Birthday, Cameron. July 31, 2003 – Will be sending out a letter to Cam's friends here shortly for them to pass on to anyone who knows him. There's always a chance that he may be somewhere, at someone's place, holed up and trying to get himself back on track. It will be a letter to Cam and we are hoping and praying that it will get to him. If you would like the letter sent to you, and you haven't been in contact with us by email already, please call the phone number on the poster (link at the top of this page) and give me your email address. I will be sending it out by email, unless someone doesn't have access to that form of communication and specifically calls and gives a physical address I can mail it to. Thanks, Judy August 6, 2003 Dear Friends and Family, We continue to grasp at anything we can think of to do to find our Cameron. This is another attempt and we need your help. IF there is ANY chance that he may have found a home where he has gone to put his life back together, IF he is staying in seclusion at one of your places, we would like this letter to get to him. Could you pass this on to anyone you know who has had contact with Cameron during his life, any place where he might have ended up OR, if you know where Cam is, just pass it directly to him? We would appreciate so much your help in this matter!! Thanks from the bottom of our hearts, Jerry & Judy Wesslen and extended Family Download or View letter, click here - (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, available FREE at Adobe.com) September 25, 2003 – I wish so much we had something we could write here about Cam, but there has been absolutely no information at all from anyone. It's been TOTALLY silent. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from anywhere!! November 26,
2003 - Upper Columbia Academy sent out their annual Alumni Newsletter during
October of this year. In it they included a picture of Cameron and a brief
note about his disappearance. Towards the end of October we received an
email from a former classmate of his who now lives in Riverside, CA. He
said he had seen someone, while driving around town, who looked like Cameron.
He immediately turned his vehicle around to see if he could catch up with
him but the person was already gone. This classmate has copied posters
from our site here and posted them around the town of Riverside. So far
we have heard nothing more from anyone on this. July 20, 2004 - Happy 25th Birthday Cam. We miss you so much!! October 11,
2004 - STILL absolutely no information from anyone anywhere! December 17, 2004 - Dear Cam, If there's ANY chance that you may be reading these updates we want you to know that there is NOTHING that you are doing or could have done that would EVER keep us from wanting you to return home. We love you dearly and miss you terribly. The new house is almost done and we are moving in 2 days before Christmas. There would be no better gift to all who love you here than to have you come home for Christmas. I often wake up during the night after dreaming the same dream: that you've just knocked on the front door. That dream keeps me hoping and praying for your return. We love you Cam!! April 10, 2005 - It's been 2 years, today, since Cameron disappeared. We still miss him so much and wish we would hear something, anything, from anyone anywhere!!! So far we have heard nothing, though, and must consider the possibility that he really may be gone. We may never know what happened and that is the hardest part. In the meantime we just don't want his life to pass into nothingness and would like to know what you, his family and friends, think about having a "Celebration of Life" service (similiar to a memorial service). Would you like one? If so, when would be a good time and what would you like seen done in it? The service would be held in the Spokane area. Please write and tell us your suggestions. Email us at ranch@wesslen.com THANKS! Judy & Jerry April 27 - DEAR CAMERON, if you are watching this site, we want you to know that a "link" has been added to a letter from your mom. Please, please read it! We all love and miss you SO MUCH!! Letter to Cam from Mom, click here! July 20, 2005 - Happy Birthday, Cameron. We are moving into our new house. Wish you were here to see it. You are STILL MISSED, TERRIBLY!! December 21, 2005 - Cam, we're just back from 5 weeks in Peru. A lot of the volunteers on that project were with you on the Dominican project. They ask about you, pray for you and are worried about you. They talk of what a "cool kid" you were and how much they enjoyed meeting and getting to know you. We keep hoping for a miracle. This Christmas is no different. Having you here would be the greatest present we could ever wish for. MISS YOU!! April 10, 2006 – 3rd year anniversary of Cameron’s disappearance. July 20, 2006 - Happy Birthday, Cameron. We've been in our home for a year now. Wish you were here to enjoy it with us. You are STILL MISSED, TERRIBLY!! April 10, 2007 – 4th year anniversary of Cameron’s disappearance. May 5, 2007 – “Celebration of Life” service for Cameron. (See info in blue box at top of page.) If you have any information that might help us find out Cam’s whereabouts please give us a call at: (509) 939-0587. Leave a message, your name and a return phone number we can call. Also, we are trying to find out if there was any significance to the location where the car was found. If anyone knows of any connection that the address 805 Marion Street, in Seattle, has to Cam would you please let us know (See picture below). The car was parked, out of gas, in a loading zone in front of this apartment building. We will update this message board as soon as we hear anything new. Thanks for your interest, your prayers and for any help you might be able to provide us with. Jerry and Judy Wesslen
